The history of
Fusion’s Adventure Based Learning

For nearly 25 years, Fusion has been helping Tasmanians unlock their potential through Adventure Based Learning at Forest Glen.

In 2001, Fusion took over management of the High and Low Ropes Courses developed by Anglicare at Forest Glen, in the foothills of Mount Wellington/kunyanyi.

Since then, the facility has grown to include not only new Ropes Course elements, but also a bush campground and meeting facilities.

Over the following years, more than 20 000 young people have participated in our programs, discovering more of their potential through adventure.

Fusion’s commitment to seeing young people thrive, together with our model of youthwork developed over 60 years, underpin our approach to Adventure Based Learning. More than just the delivery of activities, we place a high value on facilitation, and the development of both the individual participant and the group process.  Our team is skilled at tailoring our programs to integrate both your educational outcomes and the personal development of participants.

With backgrounds in wilderness activities, guiding, camping, Bush Adventure Therapy, teaching and youthwork, our facilitators are highly skilled and ready to work with you to reach your goals with your group.

The facilities at Fusion Forest Glen comply with national standards and are inspected annually by Australian Ropes Course Builders from Victoria.

We’re whole heartedly committed to the many schools that return over and over again, and to helping young people thrive in southern Tasmania.
